Our Process

With all projects, we ask that the client be available for our “Discovery Day” and Color exercises, and a “How you live” Q&A. In this time together, we review your tastes, functional needs and set parameters for the aesthetic world. We cover all the most important design and project elements, so your seating is always comfortable, your style is always on-point, and the quality level meets your expectations. 

• “Discovery Day”: Using showrooms in NYC or your local area, we explore aesthetics, quality and we expose you to what the design world can offer. Are you traditional, transitional or contemporary? What is a comfortable sofa to you? How about a dining chair? Need custom dimensions?  Most clients just don’t know, and this and more is what this day lets you discover. 

• “Color Exploration”: Our gut-reaction color exercise quickly narrows down a rainbow of color possibilities into a palette that resonates most with you. Most clients find this to be quite fun, and walk away with a sneak peek of what’s to come.

• “How You Live”: Our conversational-style questions let us ensure that your home functions smoothly from the minute you wake up to the moment you fall asleep. 

Once the basics are known, we proceed to source all your furnishings, we work with any outside consultants as part of a team, and we keep you informed regularly with reports, calls and meetings. Meeting frequency is determined by what works for each client. Between in-person meetings, we check in regularly if you’d like us to run with it, or we tailor our meetings to be more frequent and collaborative, should you wish to be more involved in the details. Though every project follows a unique path, the process is always simple, logical, and of course, it’s really fun. This is a creative journey for everyone, and even in the smallest moments, it’s a luxury that all are excited to take part in.

Timing

Timelines vary greatly depending on project, and it’s in everyone’s best interest to not rush your luxury furnishings and project. That said, we typically spend 8-16 months on a project and projects under construction are almost always extended.
